Golf Fellowship

Will be open to Xavier students, alumni, and friends.  We decided to have it as a "fun event" (2-person best-ball format) so as not to be in direct competition with the annual tournaments sponsored by the AAXS and other classes.   Each team should have at least 1 alumnus.  Entry fee will be P5,000 per team.   Tournament venue is The Country Club (near Sta. Elena).  Awarding will be at Sta. Elena.  Date will be week of June 1, target for Thursday (June 3), to be confirmed by the committee.  Hole sponsorships will be at P20,000 per hole (can be shared among multiple sponsors).  There will be small give-away for participants.   Profits will go to Xavier School Class '74 Foundation.

Class Reunion

Venues being considered are Sari's place, Henry Bean (?), Watering Hole.  Constraint is these establishments cannot allow us to hold event on weekend (Saturday, July 10) as originally planned.  Instead, may be moved to July 7.   Joseph Whang will check if Xavier Multipurpose Hall is available.  If so, we may be able to stick to July 10.  Committee should finalize quickly and start information campaign.  Agreed on a budget of P80,000 to include food and entertainment.

Xavier Homecoming

Date is Nov 27 (Saturday).  Estimated expenses will be in range of P800,000 to 1,000,000.  Decided to have a raffle with one major prize (car) and other prizes. Budget for the prizes will be around P1,200,000.  Tickets will be sold at P2,000 per, like the two previous years.  Expected revenues will come from Raffle tickets (P2,000,000), souvenir program ads (P500,000), and homecoming entrance ticket sales (P100,000).

Xavier School Class '74 Foundation

Agreed to proceed with registration, including BIR certification as tax-exempt.  Will target to be completed  before Golf Fellowship.  Purpose will be primarily for scholarships of children of Xavier classmates, alumni, teachers, and staff, and for donations to charitable and civic organizations.  Initial Board of Directors will be composed of contributors of P20,000 each.  (We will need to deposit these in bank account to get certification required by SEC.)  So far, we have pledges from Benjie Go, Maning Uychiaoco, Bobby Lim, Peter Chan, Winston Pua, Mike (Kiko) Tan, Cefe Chua, Joseph Lim, Leroy Tan, Michael Lim, Charlie Sy, Albert Yam, Sherwin Chua.   (Please let me or Bobby Lim know if you or any other classmates want to pledge.   We want to finalize list by next meeting.)  Beyond this, minimum contribution of P5,000 will be required for official membership to Foundation.
